These two young men I met while helping a local neighbour going through a tough time. They were eager to jump on in and offer their services with no question asked. Christians can learn from them on this topic. They have a community outlook of wanting to help that I think speaks volumes of their character.
But on the other hand when Christians will argue for the Orthodox belief of Christianity against LDS members, they can often be called "Anti" Mormons. Some are even warned to stay away and not engage people like myself. My attempt here was to talk to these two great guys with respect, but at the same time to be challenging. To show that we can have good two way conversation and have a willingness to listen. There was a few times I got tongue tied, used the wrong term, the Hyperstatic Union in the complete wrong place, and a few other things that I will let you judge me on, there was even a time I think didn't represent myself very well, I even saw myself running off down rabbit trails that wasn't conducive to the conversation, but overall I think the conversation went well.
There was some awkward silence from these two men as they thought about what I was saying. But there was also a great show of humility. They literally held up their hands and admitted that they didnt have an answer. Credit where credit is due. But the point is, if I can have a good conversation with these people, anyone can.
I hope you find it as enjoyable as I did.
